GA4 Auditor - Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
What GA4 Auditor is
GA4 Auditor is a free tool that audits your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) setup. It reads your GA4 property configuration, data quality and tracking setup, finds issues, and recommends fixes.
What it does
- Reads your GA4 configuration settings (read-only access)
- Analyses your analytics data to check quality and accuracy
- Reviews e-commerce tracking, if you have it
- Finds configuration issues, data problems and tracking gaps
- Builds an audit report with prioritised recommendations and step-by-step fixes
What it does not do
- It does not change your GA4 configuration or settings
- It does not store or keep your analytics data
- It does not share your data with third parties
- It does not send you marketing emails
- It does not track you outside the application
- It does not sell or monetise your data in any way
Why it needs Google sign-in
When you click "Login with Google", the tool asks for four permissions.
Google Analytics read-only access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly). Used to read your property settings, check your tracking and data quality, and build the report. This access is read-only: the tool cannot change or delete anything in your account. Data is processed during your session and is not stored.
Email address (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email). Used to show which Google account you are signed in with and to keep your session. It is not stored and you will not be emailed.
Profile information (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile). Used to show your name in the app. It is not stored.
OpenID (openid). The standard part of Google sign-in that lets you log in securely.
How your data is handled
Session. Your sign-in is kept in an encrypted session cookie. It is cleared when you log out or close your browser.
Analytics data. Your GA4 data is fetched during the audit, used to build the report, and not stored on our servers. When you log out or close the browser, it is discarded.
Credentials. We never see your Google password. Sign-in tokens are only used to call Google's APIs during your session.
What we collect
Only your Google account email (to identify the session), access to the GA4 property you choose (to run the audit), and a temporary session cookie (to keep you logged in).
We do not collect your browsing history, personal information beyond your email, your GA4 data itself, or anything from the websites you manage.
Third-party services
- Google OAuth 2.0, for secure sign-in. Google privacy policy
- Google Analytics Admin API and Data API, to read your GA4 configuration and data during an audit
- Font Awesome and Chart.js from a CDN, for icons and charts. They do not collect data.
Your rights
You can revoke access at any time, delete your session by logging out, ask what data we access, or stop using the tool.
To revoke access, open your Google account permissions, find "GA4 Auditor" and click "Remove access".
Security
All connections use HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are handled through Google. Session data is encrypted and kept separate per user. Nothing is stored long-term on our servers.
Compliance
No long-term storage of personal data. No cookies except the one needed to keep you signed in. Read-only access to your analytics data, which you control through your Google account.

GA4 Auditor is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Results are recommendations.
